I once saw an instagram post that read something like this- " when you support a small business, an actual person does a little dance". I immediately took a screenshot. Isn't this the truth! In fact, there are a lot of happy dances going on around here these days! I am so thankful for all my friends and family who continue to support me by either booking a session and actually paying for it (hello) and/or those who refer me to others.
Today's blogpost is about Brenda and Andre! I received an email from Brenda who informed me that a mutual friend referred her to me! Brenda was interested in taking portraits with her boyfriend, now fiance. They were both planning a holiday party for their friends and family and wanted to end their eventful weekend with a photoshoot.
We met in Old Alexandria in Virginia. As we strolled through the beautiful neighborhoods that the town has to offer, I couldn't help but smile ear to ear as I listened to both Brenda and Andre share their version of how he proposed!
These two met online! After their first date, Andre was ready for her to meet his family. Brenda said this is when she knew Andre was serious and that this could be something real.
After a few months of dating, they wanted their families to meet, hence the reason they threw this holiday party. Now you are probably thinking Andre proposed at this holiday party right? Nope, he actually did it intimately right before the party and Brenda was able to announce to all her family and friends that they were engaged! I am so happy for these two and wish them nothing but the best!
